The New American Jobs Fund (“Jobs Fund”) will fight for America’s middle class by working to elect forward-thinking leaders. With the right leadership in Congress, we can build a clean energy economy, creating more, better jobs while also protecting our clean air. The Jobs Fund is the continuation of years of cooperation between the United Steelworkers and the League of Conservation Voters, focused on large-scale voter persuasion and mobilization in critical federal races across the country – because America’s working families deserve leadership in Washington that has their backs.

The Jobs Fund is focusing on large-scale voter persuasion and mobilization in key races. With an total investment of $6 million, this effort is focusing its work in:

  • Ohio, in support of reelecting Senator Sherrod Brown
  • Montana, in support of reelecting Senator Jon Tester
  • Florida, in support of reelecting Senator Bill Nelson
  • Nevada, in support of electing Jacky Rosen
  • Arizona, in support of electing Kyrsten Sinema

“We don’t have to choose between good jobs and clean air and water, and that’s why conservationists and labor are coming together once again to elect senators who share those values.”
LCV President Gene Karpinski

“Control of the U.S. Senate is in play, and this effort will directly communicate with the tens of thousands of voters who will decide the outcome of the election in these key states.”
United Steelworkers President Leo W. Gerard
